Pine Lake Camps' facilities combined with our activities, staff and location provide the best camping environment in the state. Each building is uniquely designed so that our guests experience a rustic setting while having many amenities from home. The variety of lodging attracts groups from those who prefer the hotel style rooms at Parr Lodge to those who like the starlit skies with no electricity.
Choose Your Facility
Our housing facilities consist of cabins, Parr Lodge, and our pastor's Solitude Cabin. We are located approximately 45 minutes west of Waterloo, IA, adjacent to Pine Lake State Park. Whatever your needs, our rental options will create the perfect setting for your group.
The Camp
Pine Lake offers a varity of housing. We have nineteen cabins that offer dormitory style housing with bunk beds for eight to ten campers. Cabins offer a variety of levels of accommodations from indoor bathrooms to separate bath houses and a few with A/C. We have one motel-style facility, Parr Lodge, that provides six rooms with two twin beds each and a private bathroom. The lodge provides a fully eqipped kitchen and a dining/meeting room on the lower level that will accomdate approximately 40 individuals and a fireside lounge on the upper level. Both levels are handicaped accessible. Additionally, we have sixteen RV sites, half with sewer, water and electric service, and tent camping is available at several different locations on the property.
For recreational options, we have a large playing field with a basketball court, volleyball court, field game equipment, and picnic shelter. High and low ropes courses may be available (providing trained staff available). We have access to Lower Pine Lake for hiking and boating, and have canoes and paddleboats available. Our game cabin is equipped with ping pong, foosball tables, and a lounge area. A craft cabin is also available. We have two campfire sites and a large swimming pool, with two diving boards, a 13 foot deep end and 4 foot shallow end. The pool is available, mid-June through early August.

Parr Lodge is a two story motel-style facility with six bedrooms providing two twin beds each and a private bathroom. Linens and towels are provided. The lodge also has a fully equipped kitchen and a dining/meeting room on the lower level and a fireside lounge on the upper level. Both levels are handicapped accessible.

The Solitude Cabin
The Solitude Cabin is a "pastor's retreat" cabin and is available for up to three nights per visit for pastors, missionaries and other ministry professionals.
Solitude is a modern A-frame facility with all the comforts of home with the exception of a telephone and a television. The cabin can sleep up to seven people. There is one queen size bed (separate bedroom), 3 single beds (in the loft), and a double sofa bed (living room). All sheets and towels are provided and there is a fully eqipped kitchen.
For dining out, there are a number of local restaurants in town and for grocery needs there are two local grocery stores. Additionally, you are welcome to eat in the dining hall if meals are being served during your visit.
Various seasonal recreational activities are available for your use such as: swimming pool, canoes, paddle boats and hiking/biking trails in the State Park.
